Hello, Friend!
When I found out the cancer was back, I found hope and comfort in your prayers -- and also the prayers of a little girl named Sandy, in Mexico.
Her life had been transformed by the power of God’s Word through the Book of Hope. When she heard that one of the people who helped provide the book to her was ill, she rallied all her friends at church to pray for me.
Their prayers and yours were answered.
God made me whole again. Praise His name – it is so wonderful the children we’re reaching with His Word are learning the same lessons Hazel and I learned long ago ... that prayer works, and one of the most important things we can do is pray.
That is one reason Hazel and I, along with Rob and Kim, and the entire OneHope team, pray regularly for our ministry family -- for you. We are in this together. For me, I know ...
I felt your prayers when I was in treatment for cancer ... and when I was standing beside my son David’s hospital bed before his kidney transplant ... and when we were waiting for word on the success of Rob’s eye surgery just last April. Naturally, I am deeply grateful for those prayers. They made such an impact!
I also wanted to thank you for your giving and prayers in regards to the Faith Walk Matching Challenge. Even as I write this letter, funds are still coming in. We thank God for his Provision and are optimistic that by His grace, we will meet the challenge goal.
But today, I want to pray for you, too. We’ve set aside July 16 as our ministry-wide Day of Prayer this year. The members of our team, all around the world, will be fasting and praying together for our partners everywhere. We want to pray specifically for you.
Please click here to send us your prayer requests. Whether it is a financial need in these chaotic days, a physical illness, a problem in your family or relationships -- whatever the needs are, just list them, and we’ll be praying for you. At the end of this letter is a link to a prayer calendar for you -- it introduces some of the international personnel and projects. We would love to know you are praying specifically for these individuals, too, whenever the Lord brings them to mind.(If you like, you can pray for a different person or region each day for an entire month -- that’s how the calendar is arranged. Thanks so much!)
Right now of course, in the United States, it is summer time, and I trust you are able to enjoy some relaxation and renewal. In many areas of the world, school continues at this time, and our teams are busy in the classrooms -- and as always, they are presenting God’s Word to young people outside the classroom walls too, in a variety of innovative outreaches including camps, parks, and on the streets
Should the Lord be moving you to help with a gift today, it would be a great blessing to the children. If you wish to give you can do so through our Donate Now page.
But whether you send a gift or not, just know that it would be our privilege to pray for you. Please list out your prayer requests for us so that we can remember you on our Day of Prayer. Thank you.
Your friend and brother,
Bob Hoskins
