The Iron Curtain began to fall two decades ago — and
some ministries that joyfully came to Russia then have
virtually “closed up shop” and gone home.
Russia’s children and youth are still there, still
in desperate need of God’s Word, and His love, and you can give it to them!
I thank God that your heart, and your passion, keep
blazing for Russia today — because you’re making an impact — for children like
Masha ...
At 14, Masha had a nice life, but she longed to know
the purpose for living.
Thank God, someone invited her to Youth Café, a
monthly outreach by our OneHope partner church in her city of Novgorod.
On Youth Café night, teenagers come to a music club
with great Christian bands, refreshments and stimulating conversation with
youth ministers and Christian young people.
Masha was delighted to hear people talking about
exactly the questions that troubled her — what is the meaning of life? Why are
we on this earth? How should we live in these times?
She received the Hope Xtreme Edition of the Book of Hope ... and she chose to follow Christ as her
Savior!
Masha’s transformation was just beginning when she
received her Book
of Hope. The first person she
shared her new faith with was her mother. Now Mom is a believer and has joined
a OneHope team to
give God’s Word
to other young people —
Masha herself serves in the children’s ministry at
the church, and loves telling the children stories from the Bible. She’s also
sharing her faith with her friends, and inviting them to find the meaning of
life, in the love of Christ.
This is what OneHope is all about.
Right now there are over 400,000 children and youth
in Russia still to be reached with God’s life-transforming Word by the end of
this year, to meet our goal of reaching 1.2 million Russian children and youth
in 2009.
We hope you will help us in reaching this goal for
Russia through your prayers and by giving to send the Book of Hope into situations where hope is all but lost.
Thank you for your faithfulness. You’re bringing hope
to the next generation. Thank you that your heart is still with mine ...
in Russia.
