A Life Transformed — Because You Shared the Word of God

Maryam began her first year of college with the intention of completing a degree in Islamic studies. In the majority-Muslim nation where she lives, she was fortunate to have been able to attend school and be accepted to college.

As part of her studies, she wanted to contrast Islam and Christianity, but she lives in a nation where believers of Jesus risk persecution, or even imprisonment if found guilty of blasphemy of the Quran or Allah. So, to find out more about the Christian faith, Maryam reached out to our online missionaries through the What If It’s True? program.

At first her questions were just academic, but once she received those answers, Maryam kept returning to the site and corresponding with our online missionaries until the day she messaged them to say, “I can no longer continue in my Muslim faith. I must accept Christ as Savior.”

She’s now following Jesus in a nation where it is unsafe to be a believer. Her family arranged a marriage for her, to a Muslim man (possibly to have her return to Islam), but she remains true to her faith in Jesus and has even shared the Gospel with her husband, who has not rejected it and seems curious to know more!

This is the power of God’s Word to transform young lives! Thank you for sharing the Good News with Maryam. Please pray with us that her husband, too, will soon come to know the Savior.

From the Edge of the Track to the Arms of Grace

At just 14 years old, Aurora was already carrying a heavy burden on her heart. She lives in Mexico, where she struggled with low self-esteem and a deep sense of unhappiness.

Like so many teenagers, she felt she wasn’t enough — less worthy, less loved, somehow falling short. Inside, she felt alone, wounded by emotional struggles she didn’t know how to name and uncertain that tomorrow could be any better than today.

Then she was invited to a special event where Rose, our youth film, was screened.

Aurora didn’t know what to expect. But as she watched the story about Rose, a headstrong young motorcycle racer who risks everything, crashes, and reaches her lowest point — something began to stir.

When Rose encountered Jesus on the screen and was given a new opportunity, Aurora says, “That scene moved me a lot.” In Rose’s story, she saw her own reflection.

As the film played, Aurora realized: “God always gives us opportunities. … It’s never too late if we look for Him with all our heart.”

In that moment, the message of the Gospel was no longer distant or abstract. It was personal. She felt God speaking directly to her heart, calling her to draw near, to be reconciled, and to trust Him to restore her life.

That day, Aurora chose to begin walking with Jesus.

Today she’s committed to following Him with the certainty that she is not alone and that God loves her just as she is.

Because of your generosity, a young girl who once felt unseen now knows she is deeply loved. You helped place Rose in front of Aurora at exactly the right moment — and God used it to set her on a brighter path. Thank you for being part of her story.
