The OneHope Cultivate Residency Program is an opportunity for recent college graduates to use their skills and education to serve God in a professional, fast-paced ministry environment. At our international headquarters in South Florida, Residents will gain experience in the field of global non-profit work while contributing to our mission – God’s Word. Every Child. – by applying their vocational skills and knowledge to important initiatives and projects.
The Cultivate Spring Residence lasts for 4 months (January 21 through May 24). Residents will work 25 hours per week under the supervision of their manager as well as participate in weekly training sessions in both leadership and effective methods of ministry design and implementation. Additionally, Residents are expected to plug into a local church for the duration of their stay in South Florida. Residents are provided with on-site, dormitory-style housing and a weekly stipend
Program Events and Activities
Residents will be placed in a department and role that utilizes their skills and knowledge-base. Through the application and interview process, the OneHope Cultivate Team will work with applicants to find the role in our organization that best fits their portfolio. Below are a list of our departments and the skill-sets that apply to them:
- Advancement — Public Relations, Marketing, Fundraising/Partnerships, Communications, Writing
- Education Initiatives — Spanish/Portuguese/Chinese language skills, Elementary/Middle School Education, Educational Program Design
- Ministry Operations — Finance, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Field Logistics, Economics
- Ministry Design — Content Development, Program Design, Event Coordination, Research
- Product Development — Writing/Editing, Graphic Design, Program Training,
- Special Projects — Language Skills, Geographic Region Specialty, Leadership
OneHope’s goal for the Cultivate Residency Program is that Residents would grow in their faith, leadership, and vocational skills while learning methods of practical ministry design and implementation that they can take into their future endeavors. Throughout the 4-month Residency, Residents will participate in training sessions to develop these skills. They will also receive coaching and mentorship from their managers.
OneHope provides Residents with dormitory-style housing on the premises of our international headquarters. We strongly recommend that Residents bring a car as there is limited public transportation in South Florida. We provide free parking on site.
To apply for the Cultivate Residency Program, you must meet a few requirements: you must be a recent college graduate (graduated within the past year), OR you must be graduating in December 2018. You must also agree with, and feel comfortable accepting, OneHope’s Core Values and the Lausanne Covenant.
