June 3rd - July 26th

The OneHope Cultivate Summer Internship Program is an opportunity for college upperclassmen to use their skills and education to serve God in a professional, fast-paced ministry environment. At our international headquarters in South Florida, interns will gain experience in the field of global non-profit work while contributing to our mission – God’s Word. Every Child. – by applying their vocational skills and knowledge to important initiatives and projects.

The Cultivate summer internship lasts for 8 weeks (June 3 through July 26). Interns will work 25 hours per week under the supervision of their manager as well as participate in weekly training sessions in both leadership and effective methods of ministry design and implementation. Additionally, interns are expected to plug into a local church for the duration of their stay in South Florida. Interns are provided with on-site, dormitory-style housing and a weekly stipend.

Program Events and Activities

Your internship at OneHope begins with a week of orientation and onboarding. During this time, you will get to know your cohort and our staff, learn about our organizational structure, history, and culture, and get an introduction to the wide range of programs and products OneHope is currently working on. Additionally, you will receive training in our outcome-based ministry philosophy.

Each week, you will spend time in a small group – called Root Groups – with your fellow interns. During this time, you will participate in corporate prayer and worship while diving deep into God’s Word together. Root Groups create a space for interns to process all they are learning – both spiritually and professionally – through the lens of God’s Word as they seek to discover God’s purposes for their lives.

Interns will be placed in a department and role that utilizes their skills and knowledge-base. Through the application and interview process, the OneHope Cultivate Team will work with applicants to find the role in our organization that best fits their portfolio. Below are a list of our departments and the skill-sets that apply to them:

  • Advancement — Public Relations, Marketing, Fundraising/Partnerships, Communications, Writing
  • Education Initiatives — Spanish/Portuguese/Chinese language skills, Elementary/Middle School Education, Educational Program Design
  • Ministry Operations — Finance, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Field Logistics, Economics

OneHope’s goal for the Cultivate Internship Program is that interns would grow in their faith, leadership, and vocational skills while learning methods of practical ministry design and implementation that they can take into their future endeavors. Throughout the 8-week internship, interns will participate in weekly training sessions to develop these skills. They will also receive coaching and mentorship from their managers.

OneHope provides interns with dormitory-style housing on the premises of our international headquarters. We strongly recommend that interns bring a car as there is limited public transportation in South Florida. We provide free parking on site.
