She Found Her Strength and Identity in Christ Through Unstoppable

Esther thought her whole identity was REFUGEE.

She and her family had been forced to flee violent conflict in South Sudan and now lived in a resettlement camp in Uganda where, she says, “I felt invisible and powerless.”

Everything began to change when Esther joined other girls from her neighborhood in working through Unstoppable, a OneHope Scripture program created in partnership with Joyce Meyer Ministries. The book helps tween and teen girls discover their identity in Christ and find strength to live for Him.

Through the lessons, Esther found her voice and her confidence. “The games we played, the friends I made — I found a family in that space. For the first time, I felt heard. The facilitators encouraged us to speak up, and now I can confidently express myself, even at school, without fear.”

She now dreams of becoming a servant leader. “I’ve learned that leadership isn’t for a select few — it’s something anyone can learn. I want to be a leader who puts others first.”

Even as she prays for peace in South Sudan and protection for girls in her community, Esther is walking forward with hope — unstoppable in Christ.
