Linh Is So Close to Choosing Jesus — Please Pray!

In a country where Christianity represents a tiny minority, 13-year-old Linh is on a remarkable spiritual journey that your support makes possible.

Growing up in Vietnam with difficult family dynamics, Linh found little emotional connection at home. Instead, she sought comfort at a nearby pagoda, forming her closest friendship with a monk — someone who became her most trusted confidant in a challenging world.

When her parents separated, Linh faced the painful decision of which parent to live with, ultimately choosing to stay with her father. Throughout this family dissolution, she experienced profound trauma and isolation, expressing herself primarily through drawings and private diary entries rather than words.

Despite cultural and religious barriers, What If It’s True? has become her sanctuary. In her own handwritten diary, she confessed: “What If It’s True? Vietnam gives my heart the feeling of being safe and understood.”

Some online missions involve an extended amount of time and care. Pray that Linh will soon have the courage to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

You Were There When Sofia Needed Comfort Most

Sofia is a teenager living in Central Asia — a region where Russian is widely spoken but where following Christ can carry real risk. When she accessed What If It’s True? and connected with an online missionary, she was drowning in questions and pain.

Just two weeks earlier, Sofia had lost her mother. The grief was overwhelming, and in her anguish, she asked the question so many ask in moments of unbearable loss: Why does God allow so much suffering?

With compassion and patience, our missionary walked her through Scripture — passages like Matthew 5:4, reminding her that those who mourn will be comforted, and Romans 8:28, revealing that God works all things for good for those who love Him.

The online missionary didn’t offer easy answers or try to minimize Sofia’s grief — instead, she pointed her toward the God who sees, who comforts, and who redeems even our deepest pain.

By the end of their conversation, Sofia — already a believer — was reminded of eternal hope and encouraged to draw daily strength from God’s Word. In a place where her faith must often remain hidden, your generosity ensured she didn’t have to walk through her grief alone.

Sofia is still mourning. But now she’s anchored in the promises of Scripture, and she knows the comfort of Christ is real.

For Sabrina, You’re Making the Difference

Because of your partnership, young people around the world are encountering Jesus through Scripture in ways that would otherwise be impossible.

This is especially important for young people like Sabrina — she’s growing up in a majority-Muslim nation, and her troubled relationship with her father is causing her severe anxiety. H: he expects wealth and achievement in Sabrina’s future, and the pressure he’s putting on her to make this possible is intense.

In fact, the stress Sabrina felt had brought her to consider suicide.

But thank God, before she took that drastic measure, she noticed an ad online that brought her to our What If It’s True? website. Here she could engage with Scripture and connect with an online missionary.

Finally, she found someone who could understand her problems and offer her hope instead of despair. Over many weeks, Sabrina has been chatting with the online missionary, who says:

“Sabrina has shown a sincere desire to learn and grow in her understanding of God’s Word. Her openness to seeing things through the lens of Scripture is inspiring. She is genuinely seeking to align her life choices with God’s truth.”

Please join us in praying that Sabrina will soon make a decision to follow Jesus — and rejoice with us that she’s no longer thinking of suicide. Thank you for being there for Sabrina!
