Learning to Lead

When Trizah first walked into a Catalyze Clubs session at Green Pastures Tabernacle Church in Lenana, Kenya, he wasn’t entirely sure what to expect.

But what unfolded over the following months would become, in his own words, “nothing short of life-changing.”

From the very first Lead Today session, Trizah was captivated. “It wasn’t just about leadership theory but practical lessons on how to lead in our everyday lives, in church, at school, and within our communities,” he explains. The teachings gave him tools he could apply and begin using immediately.

But what’s more is that the learning didn’t stop there. Trizah pursued online courses too, gaining unparalleled knowledge in project management while navigating university life. Then, he did a six-month digital internship!

Today, Trizah looks back at his journey grateful for the transformation he’s experienced from the very first steps of his Lead Today experience. He feels confident and ready to step into leadership and pursue meaningful work in the future.

“Thank you … for providing this invaluable experience. It has truly been a catalyst for growth in my life.”

Trizah’s story is evidence of what becomes possible when young people — in Africa or elsewhere — discover their God-given potential and the hope that Jesus provides!

Carrying Christ into Every Season

By President Rob Hoskins

I love the days leading up to Christmas. Visiting family, enjoying great food, and seeing the anticipation for Christmas grow in my grandchildren are a few of my favorite things about this time of year. However, what I enjoy most is the celebration centered around Christ’s birth — starting with the Advent season.

Traditionally celebrated during the four weeks before Christmas, Advent beautifully reminds us of the journey to the manger and prepares our hearts for the arrival of our Savior.

Think about Joseph and Mary in the moments after their son’s birth. They held their baby and knew they were looking at God. What an awe-filled moment! But the story didn’t end there.

Mary and Joseph had the honor and responsibility of caring for Jesus, not just as a newborn, but for years to come. He was theirs to nurture and guide in every season, whether they were safe in a stable or running for their lives from a king. The image of Mary and Joseph physically carrying baby Jesus into their next season both warms my heart and convicts it.

It can be easy to follow Advent for a few weeks, celebrate the birth of Jesus, and then tuck the story away. However, we need to be intentional about carrying Christ into the next season of our lives as well.

As you step into a new year, remember that Christmas points us not only to Easter but also to the in-between — seasons of growth, change, and refinement. These are the times we need Jesus most.

As 2026 approaches, may you build your goals on the lasting power of Christ — a power that began in a manger and continues through every part of our lives.

17,000 Teens Mobilized to Bring Scripture to Muslim Children and Youth

A big thank-you to our faithful church partner, Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama, for their latest contribution to reaching every child …

They hosted their annual Motion Conference for youth where 17,000 students ages 12-18 gathered with the goal of missions mobilization. The result?

These teens raised more than $250,000, funds that will help reach more than 750,000 children and youth in a Muslim-majority nation with the Gospel through OneHope Scripture programs!

“When I look at this generation, I don’t see apathy, I see mobilization. The teens at Motion Conference are living proof that we don’t have to wait for tomorrow to see a global move of God,” says OneHope President Rob Hoskins.

“It’s happening now. They are not sidelined, they are leading. They’re passionate about seeing every child and youth encounter the hope of Jesus through His Word.”
