In the African nation of Togo, Amavi was transformed!

A lonely teenager, Amavi carried the weight of an embarrassing health condition that brought deep humiliation. Classmates mocked her, she missed school activities, and she often cried alone, wondering if things would ever change.

At home, her family was deeply rooted in Vodou traditions. They regularly consulted their household shrine, offering prayers and sacrifices to ancestral spirits for Amavi’s healing. Despite years of faithful devotion to these ancient practices, no relief ever came.

Everything changed when you sent a Scripture program to her high school. Volunteers distributed the Book of Hope, telling her: “Jesus heals all kinds of illnesses.”

Reading about the woman who suffered for years and only found healing through Jesus, hope stirred in Amavi’s heart. That night, she prayed — asking Jesus for forgiveness and healing. To her amazement, she was delivered from the condition that had shadowed her life since childhood.

Today she’s a joyful follower of Jesus, growing in faith at her local church. Thank you for showing her the way to hope and healing by sending God’s Word!

A Muslim teenager finds hope in Jesus!

In Togo, Muslim teenager Mondo believed sins are wiped out by good deeds, so he could do whatever he wanted now and make up for it later as an adult.

The soccer-themed Champions Book of Hope showed him the truth that Jesus died for our sins.

“It was as if a veil was lifted from my eyes,” Mondo recalls. He gave his life to Jesus that day!

Thank you for sending God’s Word for Mondo! Your gift now will be doubled to reach twice as many African young people.

Lost at 11 — Found Forever

At just 11 years old, Malick was slipping down a dangerous path.

Born into a Muslim family near a sprawling rubbish dump, he scavenged for survival — but the dump also harbored a darker world of drugs and crime. Malick fell in with the wrong crowd, abandoned school, and drifted further from his family, lost in a cycle of bad choices.

But then, something changed. He started visiting a local soccer club, a place that felt different — filled with kindness, guidance, and something he hadn’t felt in a long time: hope.

The club leaders gave him a special-edition Book of Hope called The Friend Who Changed My Life. As he read, Malick’s heart softened. He left behind bad influences, stopped stealing, and let go of the substances clouding his mind.

The biggest change? He returned to school and reunited with his parents, who were overwhelmed with joy at the transformation in their son.

Malick had been lost, but Jesus found him. The Friend who changed his life didn’t just rescue him from the streets — He gave him a future worth believing in.

Thank you for making stories like Malick’s possible! Today because of the 60 Days of Destiny for Africa Matching Challenge, every donation will be DOUBLED to get God’s Word to African children and youth, up to the $1 million total.
